Sustainable Irrigation begins with knowledge. Heads Up Sprinkler Company can repair broken sprinkler heads; replace, reroute or update the sprinkler layout; add or move sprinkler heads; repair broken pipes & leaks; fix stuck sprinkler valves; replace old sprinkler timers with updated water saving controllers; correct/add on to or retrofit your existing sprinkler system. We don’t install new systems. We work with every sprinkler manufacturer product -- RainBird, Hunter, Toro, Weathermatic, Hardie, Richdel, Irritrol, Imperial, Hydro-Rain, Orbit… whatever you have, we work on it. Most importantly, we will help you understand your system and learn how to water your yard the proper way.

We run a professional service company and deliver top notch service from start to finish. Whether you report a problem you’ve found with your sprinklers or whether you have requested a preventive maintenance system check-up, we follow the same routine.

Our teams are licensed by the state of Texas, it is required by state law that only licensed irrigation professionals can work on sprinkler systems. Licensing is required because sprinkler systems connect to our potable water source. We are trained not only to protect our water, but conserve it too.

backflow deviceEvery Service Call begins with a visual inspection of your backflow device --- what the city permits as a cross-connection into your house water service line. We check this device because it is the first line of defense in protecting your house drinking water supply from contaminants. It’s in that 10”x18” rectangular green box in your front yard, or garden.

The backflow device or double check is a good indicator of what shape the rest of the system might be in. It is also where the water source for the sprinkler system is turned off and on. (See our Do-It-Yourself page for more help).

irrigation controllerEvery Service Call includes checking the electronic brains of your sprinkler system, the controller, timer, clock --- usually found on the interior or exterior wall of your garage. The controller sends the electronic commands to the valves in your yard for each watering cycle. If you’ve reported stations/zones not turning on or not turning off, this is one check point.

Every Service Call we run through every station/zone you have. As trained professionals, we look for under coverage (dry spots) and over coverage (soggy areas). Most of the time the corrections involve minor adjustments; like changing out the nozzle on top of the head or shrub riser so that the spray is covering your grass or plants, not your windows, doors, driveways, sidewalks or worse, not covering enough.

Every Service Call we’ll fix breaks, broken heads, bad valves, leaks, geysers, bubbling wonders, clogged heads, tilted heads, sunken heads – whatever may be wrong, we can repair it. We can update your system for those new planting beds, or new plants.

sprinkler head clogged nozzleEvery Service Call Heads Up Sprinkler Company will advise you of things to look for as your system ages; slowly failing valves, aggressive roots of trees that may pose future issues, how to address plant growth and proper coverage, “sticky” heads that fail to retract into the ground after use, water saving devices that may fit your yard…We try to help you understand how much to water, when to water and how to budget for your yard’s future.

Every Service Call Heads Up Sprinkler Company technicians operate with a fully stocked inventory. They have all the parts needed to repair your components and systems. We provide details on what was repaired, what was replaced, what was changed and why. We also advise you on what to plan for in the future and provide tips on how best to save water.

Heads Up Sprinkler Company bills on a time & materials basis and DOES NOT bill travel time. Minimum is 1 hour, after the first hour, we bill in 15 minute increments. Heads Up invoices list the parts used in your yard, no secrets. We want you to recognize what it takes to begin managing those repairs you can handle on your own and when to call us. Taking care of your sprinkler system is a shared responsibility. At Heads Up Sprinkler Company we take it as seriously as you do.
