Sustainable Irrigation begins with knowledge. Heads Up Sprinkler
Company can repair all makes & manufacturers of sprinklers
in Plano, Allen, McKinney, Frisco, just about anywhere in the north
Dallas area. Broken heads, leaking valves, zones stuck ON (or OFF),
timers no longer working, mysterious sprinklers coming ON when they
aren’t supposed to, leaks, no matter what’s wrong with your system,
we know how to fix sprinklers.
Heads Up Sprinkler Company works on existing sprinkler systems. We
don’t install new systems. Although some companies may behave
differently, we’re not the type of company to show up at your house
and try to sell you a totally new system. We believe in trying to
help repair your existing system and improve water use, keep your
yard healthy and fix things that have gone wrong. Most existing
sprinkler systems can be repaired and we save you the high cost
of a new installation..
Heads Up Sprinkler Company believes that knowing how to spot repair
issues is critical to keeping low water bills, avoiding plant stress
and maintaining even/consistent moisture around the foundation (to
protect your home investment). Most importantly, using your existing
sprinkler system effectively is helpful in maintaining a healthy
landscape.
Spotting
and addressing repairs can save thousands of gallons a month on your
water bill, plus help save your plants. Heads Up Sprinkler Company
focuses on repairs. Face it, there are some repair issues that the
average homeowner is better off having a professional address.
Although you may be able to identify that your sprinkler system has
a leak, it is not always possible to locate that leak. Digging for a
leak can be misleading.
The
photo below shows a broken pipe at a valve and a
head that was seized by
roots. Finding the leak was not easy. The pipe sloped slightly, so
the water ran down the length of the pipe and pooled nearly 4’
“south” of one break and had another break where the fitting met the
valve. Repairing some leaks is sometimes more complicated than a
homeowner may want to undertake, it is not only a dirty, muddy
task, but hydraulically challenging.
We
love our trees, but our trees love water and inevitably seek water
in the buried sprinkler pipes. There are different types of damages
roots can cause. Knowing which type of damage requires which type of
remedy is best left to professionals, unless you like making repairs
more than once. Discovering a leak and then knowing how to repair
the issue by installing a reroute to the main line or lateral line
plus the partial removal of surrounding tree roots that initially
caused the problems are common for us, Repairs we manage for you
take the worry out of your sprinkler woes.
Another easily identified problem can be spotted in
areas where there is pooling water. Faulty valves or old worn out
solenoids can cause sprinklers to seep non-stop, causing leaks like
this. Heads Up Sprinkler Company works with all types of valves and
can remedy this problem by rebuilding the valve or by removing and
replacing the component. If this is happening in your yard, the
first step is to shut off the water to your irrigation system.
Faulty valves in this condition do not respond to electronic
impulses anymore. The water source to your sprinklers must be
shut-off to stop the flow through the valve.
Check out our Do-It-Yourself pages to learn how to turn off the water to the sprinkler, not
your house. Then call Heads Up -- we can help.
Simple
repair issues aren’t always so simple, but sometimes they are. When
you call us, we ask questions, sometimes we can help you with a
repair explanation over the phone. What
looks like a new geyser in
the corner of your flower bed may just be a missing nozzle that got
cut off or damaged when the landscapers were trimming your hedges.
We can help you help yourself and save a service call.
Heads Up Sprinkler Company technicians operate with a fully stocked
inventory. They have all the parts they need to repair your RainBird,
Hunter, Toro, Weathermatic, Irritrol, Hardie Richdel, Imperial
components and systems. We provide details on what was repaired,
what was replaced, what was changed and why. We also advise you on
what to plan for in the future and provide tips on how best to save
water.
For most service calls, we bill on a time and materials basis. After
the first hour, we bill in 15 minute increments. Despite that most
of our parts are oil-based, we haven’t raised our prices in 5 years.
